Awesome Oat Burger

Soft and Tasty

These oat burgers are easy and fast to cook. You can freeze them and heat them up when needed. You can also make them gluten-free using gluten-free oats.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water.
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce.
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil (optional).
  • 1 cup pecan meal.
  • 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast flakes.
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder.
  • 1 tablespoon of dried basil.
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of bacon seasoning (optional but adds flavor).
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of sage powder.
  • 4 cups of quick oats (use gluten-free oats for gluten-free version).

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F / 180 C
  2. In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. In a big pot, boil water and add soy sauce and olive oil.
  4. Add the dry ingredients and stir till thick, cooking for 3 minutes.
  5. On a non-sticky pan or parchment paper form burgers.
  6. Bake at 350 F / 180 C for 15 minutes on one side.
  7. Flip and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
